I joined a panel discussion on whether we are undervaluing soft FM skills when we are looking for leaders of organisations. Colin and Regi shared their experiences of starting within the soft fm side of the industry and how they needed to retrain to get into leadership positions as hard fm skills seem to be valued more.
This has a negative on gender diversity within the leadership because hard fm is still predominantly male, and soft fm female.
